Our story

We began in September 2012 with just seven students in a small masjid, driven by one goal: to cultivate a deep and lasting love for the Quran. From those first lessons, our community has grown across Dallas and around the world. Through it all, our mission has stayed simple and profound: Simplifying the Quran for all.

Imam Yahya Jaekoma

Imam Yahya Jaekoma

Founder, Director and Lead Instructor

Imam Yahya Jaekoma is the founder of QID and its main teacher. A dedicated Islamic educator, he grew up in Southern California and completed his Hifz at a traditional madressa boarding school. He has personally graduated over 50 huffaz and impacted hundreds of students through his teaching. Serving as an Imam and Khateeb in Dallas since 2012, he provides spiritual guidance, leads prayers, and delivers inspiring sermons, fostering unity within the community. His dedication to Islamic education and spiritual growth has made him a respected and inspirational figure, and the heart of everything we do at QID.

Shaykh Sajid Ibrahimee

Lead Teacher

Shaykh Sajid Ibrahimee began his journey by memorizing the Quran at Darul Uloom New York. He completed his Alimiyyah degree at Qalam Institute and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Sciences from Al-Azhar University in Cairo. He holds an Ijazah in the 10 Qiraat and specialized in Fiqh through advanced study at Al-Salam Institute. He currently serves as an educator and Imam in the Dallas metroplex and fundraises across the United States for non-profits, masaajid, and Islamic institutions.
