Lesson 19: Madd

A madd letter with a ء after it in the same word is stretched for 2, 2½ or 4 alifs. So is one with a ء at the start of the next word.

A madd letter with a سَاكِن or تَشْدِيْد after it is stretched for 3 or 5 alifs.
